Held the webinar of the State Research Agency on the new State Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2023

The State Research Agency (AEI) has held a webinar for the presentation of the new State Plan. It has had the participation of Carmen Castresana, General Director of Research Planning of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, as well as staff from the Agency.

The main characteristics of the State Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2023, and its relationship with the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027, were presented in the webinar. The new State Plan has four programs. The Agency will help implement three of them:

  • The program to face the priorities of our environment,
  • The program to promote scientific-technical research and its transfer and
  • The program to develop, attract and retain talent.

The budget for the Agency's calls in 2021 has been presented, which is double that of 2020 in terms of subsidies. This budget has been presented broken down by source of funds: budgetary or recovery, transformation and resilience plan.

Subsequently, for each of the Agency's calls, the years of the call, the expected opening and resolution dates and the main characteristics have been presented. Finally, compliance with the planning of the calls in 2019 and 2020 has been reviewed.
